Enjoying a couple of days away in sunny Braintree Manor [I wish; it's bloody freezing weather, tbh], mainly shopping for plants and stuff.
"Normal" service may be resumed on my return at some stage on Monday...
Meanwhile, a little (Postmodern) jukebox music:
Miss Swift just cannot compete.
Woke up to a frost this morning! I hope your plants are okay.

No frost in either London or Essex, but definitely far too cold for the first week of May! Jx
Delete"Shopping for plants" - I hope you took a lorry...
ReplyDeleteI came back with fifteen new Fuchsias, which is quite a haul - but the nursery near Braintree where we get them from is a sort-of "pick your own" for fuchsias. They're all labelled rooted cuttings planted in little cardboard trays of compost, stretching over almost half an industrial-sized greenhouse - you just grab a cardboard tray, and dig out the varieties you want, for 90p a plant! It's faboo. Jx
DeleteA great selection of fuchsias it is too and lovely to have Lady Isobel Barnett back in the fold.
ReplyDeleteAnd some brand new "ladies", to boot! Jx
