Sweet Suite Andalucía*

We're getting ourselves in the mood for our trip to Spain...

Another work week begins - but for a change, I am not in such a maudlin mood. We're counting down the days until we depart for our long-awaited week in sunny Benalmadena this Saturday - and it's another four-day week to boot, as I am off this Friday to finalise the bag packing!

I feel a little trip on this Tacky Music Monday into the dreamworld of our Patron Saint Sara Montiel and her safety gays might well be appropriate...

Oh, yes. Bring it on!

Have a good week, dear reader.

    1. Trouble is, the week running up to a holiday always seems to go twice as slow as the week we're actually there! Jx

  2. I was in Benidorm for most of December, the average day time temp a glorious 22 degrees and a nippy 10 degrees at night, you might need to pack a pashmina.

Have you noticed a lot of Spanish people walk with a shuffling gait?

    1. Mitchell (who lives in Fuengirola) says they had nasty gales there recently, but temperatures are rising again to around 21 degrees this week - so by the time we get there it should be even warmer. I don't care. It's away from here! (And yes, we always wear the second-best stole of an evening...)

Spanish people have no sense of urgency whatsoever. We were forewarned before we went that Madrid was a "bustling and fast-paced city". We got there, and we were forever muttering under our breath "just get a bloody move on, or get out of the way!"

  4. How exciting for you. A getaway! Be sure to pack plenty of black liner, waterproof mascara and extra fishnets. The Touristas! They know how to show a girl a good time, no? Sometimes... too good, if you know whatta mean? Eh?

  5. The week before any vacation, I would do absolutely no work because I was spending all my time reminding everyone, incessantly, that I would be gone the next week.
