Twenty-five glorious years... Ha-ha!

Congratulations to Our Sal, whose landmark anniversary of 25 years at the helm of The Shaston Arms, just off Carnaby Street in the West End saw her pub renamed "The Lady Shaston" in her honour!

I, Madam Arcati and "Our Gang" were there in force for the celebrations tonight (of course), as we were at the very beginning...

Simply faboo!

  1. How exciting and for you to be a historic part of it. Excellent signage!

    1. It was such a respectful thing for her brewery to do for her - the bosses were all there, too, and the the owner of the company made a speech. There was a marquee outside the pub, a DJ, and a circus act (on stilts one moment, fire-juggling the next) - and her own "Lady Shaston Ale", to boot! What a night... Jx

    2. Thank you! And The Madam, looking up at the stilt-walking girl, too - an excellent photo. [Thank you, John-John!] Jx

  2. That is great! And a tactful and classy looking sign too. Congrats to her!!!!

Hell...if she was in the states after 25 years she would have been rewarded with more work..more hours, more aggravation and in some cases a free parking space.

    1. Oh, that old thing. Just something I threw on from the wardrobe.

Literally. Our wardrobes have more "dressing-up" clothes than workaday stuff these days! Jx
