Before we set off to our fave Wetherspoons the Penderel's Oak in Holborn this afternoon for a jolly gathering to (belatedly) mark History Boy's birthday, let us drift into dreams of summer, sunshine and holidays again, shall we? - courtesy of the ever-fabulous Soft Tempo Lounge:

I flew BOAC once. It didn’t look like THAT!
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame! Jx

I wonder if your parents had the Lobster Thermidor? Jx
DeleteMitchell... I know that feeling! An air hostess friend (SAS) used to say their logo meant "Better On A Camel"
ReplyDeleteOuch. Mind you, camels do have humps, so maybe that's where the "mile-high club" originated? Jx
DeleteOh I did enjoy that and love seeing what air travel was like back in the day when only the upper classes could afford to travel abroad for their holidays.
ReplyDeleteNaf but affordable is ok with me. Talking of Naf, I would have thought Soft Tempo Lounge could have got a better car to tour the Riviera with.
Well, the clip is from some 1970s soft-porn nonsense called The Naughty Stewardesses, so I'm surprised the budget could go as far as it did... Jx
