The hardressers are permitted to open next week, and I'll be banging on their door!
My last weekend of freedom beckons, and despite the sad news today, we still need to gee ourselves up for a party...
...and who better to assist than three ladies who have no fear about possessing "big hair" - Thank Disco It's Friday!
Have a great weekend, peeps!
LOVE The Three Degrees. I have a collection... they had some lovely tunes. Giving Up, Giving In, Dirty Old Man... Adore. Love the gif, too. I wish I had hair to muss. Sigh. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThey're honorary "national treasures" over here. Famously, Prince Charles was a fan, so their fame was sealed at that point! Jx
DeleteI can't tell if that's Marion Davies or Jeanette MacDonald.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know the 3 girls are loved over there.
I an not sure which early screen diva that is, tbh. The gif caught my eye as it looks like me in the mirror every morning at the moment!
DeleteAs for The Three Degrees, they spent so much time over here that Sheila Ferguson married and became a UK resident. She's had her own comedy series, had a part in one of our (now-defunct) soaps Brookside, and has starred in loads of West End productions. We saw her in a "jukebox musical" called Soul Train in the year 2000, and her version of Misty Blue - with just a chair, a spotlight and a cigarette - was breathtaking.

Fantabulosa !
ReplyDeleteTimes three. Jx
DeleteLove Sheila Ferguson! Just love her attitude.
ReplyDeleteI think we all look like that gif first thing in the morning!

If I can't get my hair cut this week, I am investing in a Sheila Ferguson wig! Jx
