The reason for my fever is right in front of me

Phew! I thought I had better check that no more of our house faves or national treasures had popped their clogs before leading our traditional countdown to the weekend. It's all clear...

Once again I am actually on leave - but there is still every excuse to flick our hair like Tina's, throw on that flouncy chiffon number, and Thank Disco It's Friday!

Remarkably, that song is forty-five years old this month! Gulp.

Have a great weekend, peeps! For me, there's just one more week to go before Spain. Yay!

More Tina Charles here, here and here.

  1. This song immediately brought to mind Carol Douglas' song Doctor's Orders. Which in turn always makes me think of Armed and Dangerous by First Choice. Thanks for the time machine. Have a lovely weekend and stay safe and healthy so you can go on your trip! Kizzes.

    1. Interestingly, Doctor's Orders was originally written and produced in the UK in 1974 and was a hit for the lead singer of Brotherhood of Man [who went on, in a different incarnation, to win the Eurovision Song Contest], "Sunny", and not Ms Douglas. It seems Miss Charles's producer Biddu was highly influenced by it... Jx

    2. Yes, I too thought of Doctor's Orders. I only recall Tina's I Love to Love, which I probably have. As for Dr Love, Love Unlimited's is the only one that can fill my prescription.

Fuck, we are so damn old.

  4. Fab. It deserves a good modern remix.
