Another week is dragging slowly to its conclusion, and, as the shades of autumn are now officially upon us, what we really need is something to cheer us up and get us in a party mood...
How about some sugar? A blatantly tacky rip-off of Boogie Oogie Oogie it may be, but it made me smile.
Thank Disco It's Friday!
Have a good one, dear reader!
Well, that was a bit creepy. And I wonder why the hunk’s face was coated with Vaseline. I do like the animated GIF. Any idea who they are.
ReplyDeleteLord only knows what was going on in that video...
DeleteAs for the gif, I researched it and find it's from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and two of the dancers are Robert Morse and Rudy Vallee. No idea who #3 was. Jx
It did look like something from How To Succeed in Business. I can’t recognize Robert Morse in the dance. But definitely no Rudy Vallée. He was much older by then. Thanks!
DeleteThanks to a bit of digging around in IMDB, I've found it was John Myhers, Anthony 'Scooter' Teague and Howard Parker. Nope, me neither (although apparently Mr Teague was in West Side Story). Jx
DeleteYou’re a gem. Thanks for all that digging. I’ll have to look them up. None of the names ring a bell.
DeleteDelicious, indeed. That DJ looks very slappable. And what a lovely drag queen he's got singing for him... though she needs to learn to walk in those heels before hitting the runway. I'd dance to it... second rate disco is better than no disco, my dear. Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteAllegedly she's a real woman. However, you never know - the band is from Leeds, and there are some right dodgy sorts "up North". Ask Mitzi. Jx
DeleteWhy is there a yellow clad dwarf running amok???
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend after this tough week.
Sx
Perhaps there was a copyright issue with using a Red Dwarf, Miss Scarlet.
DeleteI think he might be Marc Almond's Sex Dwarf. Jx
DeleteI am loving this track and it has been added to the Delargo pick of the pops 2022
ReplyDeleteIt's rather good, isn't it? Of course, I have featured it here before - way back in 2011... Jx
