Oh, blessed weekend, you're almost here...
The UK may be suddenly swamped by an Arctic blast - it hit a low of -5C/23F last night, temperatures aren't forecast to get much warmer for days to come, and the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers are suffering as a consequence - but the end of any dreary working week is an excuse for a party!
What better way to start that with an all-time classic - that I have never featured here before [How?! Why?!].
Thank Disco It's Friday!
Have a great (frosty) weekend, dear reader!
Time to get my red gym shorts and knee socks out of moth balls. It’s back to back (or front) tonight with a wild bunch of fun-loving musicians.
ReplyDelete...with a band named after a brand of poppers? Can't go wrong! Jx
DeleteSomeone must have spiked my gin - Did I see Stan Laurel on the guitar and Keith Chegwin mid-marathon on the drums?
ReplyDeleteYes - and Catherine Tate as "Bunty the Majorette" on vocals! Jx
DeleteOh God - no no no no no!!!! I hated this track with a venom when I was 15!!! It hasn't improved.
ReplyDeleteMr Devine is right about Stan and Keith - and you are right about Catherine Tate!!

P.S I hope your plants survive. There might be snow.
The sun is rising, we have snow!!!

I always had a soft spot for this song - this, Kelly Marie, The Nolans and Stacey Lattisaw all remind me of the naff workmen's club discos I used to go to while I was in 6th form! Innocent times...
DeleteIt's very cold indeed, but the skies are completely clear here, so no snow for us, I feel. Jx
Love it.
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten just how short men's shorts were in the olden days though.
Such a pleasant memory... Jx
