I'm a classy honey, kissy, huggy, lovey dovey, ghetto princess

The delightful and still-sexy-as-fuck Mr Jake Shears is (remarkably) 45 years old today - and was recently announced to be taking on the role of "Emcee" in Cabaret in the West End!

Let's celebrate by wallowing in some of my favourites from his back-catalogue, shall we?

Many happy returns, Jake Shears (born Jason Sellards, 3rd October 1978)!

  1. How do you beat a combination like Jake and KYLIE?? I cranked these and danced all around my kitchen, yes I did.

    1. It's PHENOMENAL! [Now even better - as I've replaced that video with the official one featuring them both!] Jx

  3. He could get me in bed with just the right look dear!!!

I also surmise he will only get sexier and hotter with age...as he is proving. I found him beyond hot standing their in the video of Let's Have a KiKi, with his tambourine. I'd give him something to shake.

    1. I meant to say he was hot in the dance line with his tank, and tight lyrca on. But the one with the tambourine aint bad either. I'll have them both.

    1. It's worth it - although I probably should warn you, Scissor Sisters are not quite Roy Fox and his Orchestra 🤣 Jx

    1. We saw it way back in 2007 - with none other than Julian Clary as "Emcee"!

The current production is supposed to be very different, with the whole Playhouse Theatre transformed into "The Kit Kat Club", and the performances are "in the round". We've been toying with the idea of going ever since it launched (with Eddie Redmayne in the role!), but now Jake's taking the lead, it's even more tempting. Jx
