Thank gawd, another tiresome week of working out of our living-room is drawing tortuously to its close, and for that I am very glad.
It is Midsummer this weekend, so we'd better make the most of it - the nights start drawing in again next week! Fingers crossed, after a rather wet couple of days, we see enough sunshine to enjoy it...
To get ourselves into the party spirit,
You heard the ladies - DANCE!
Have a good weekend, dear reader.
I love this time of year when the light lasts so long. Not as late as in England, but still, plenty late enough to appreciate.
ReplyDeleteOn a clear day here in London, there's still a lingering twilight at gone 10.30pm, and then the dawn chorus starts at around 3.30am. I love this time of year (when it's warm and not bloody raining, of course). Jx
DeleteDAMN THAT WAS FINE! wish "soul train" was still on the air; so many cool songs and great dancers. and don corneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelius and his sexy MC voice!
ReplyDeleteIt's a show that was never broadcast here. We had Top of the Pops, with its far less impressive dancing... Jx
DeletePS I didn't realise Mr Cornelius came to such a sad end. RIP.
I always think midsummer comes too soon, especially as there always seems to be months upon months of summer still to come.
ReplyDeleteEspecially now that global warming has really kicked in.
In most years, Spring is just so grim that as midsummer arrives, you think "middle of what"? This year, at least, there has been a brilliant season in the run-up to it.

PS Please don't mention "Gl*bal W*rming" - you'll wake that Greta child up again, and there'll be no end to the carry-on!
ReplyDeleteThey should have made Flick Colby from top of the Pops watch to Soul Train learn how to dance
Indeed. Jx
