Easy does it!

On such a grey and drizzly day, one can be forgiven for just lounging around in subtle leisurewear.

The perfect accompaniment for a lazy Saturday is, of course, a foray into the glamorous lives of impossibly stylish people, cavorting in exotic places - courtesy of the eternally-tasteful Soft Tempo Lounge. Bien sûr!

Lovely fashions...

Ah, that's better.

    1. I imagine 50 years from now, people will be saying the same about current fashions. Such as they are... Jx

  2. Is that from Frederick's of Hollywood? The male model is quite famous...and did gay porn photo spreads. As for that video! Marvelous. Ah, the exciting world of modeling in the early eary 70's. All that glamor, excitement... so much fun - except for the raping. That. That was no fun.

  3. Like a scene from the movie "Boogie Nights" minus the ginormous dong. I recognize a lot of those faces from the magazines of the day! Dunno their names, but that whole 'Hip'groove will return, I predict it - different fabrics, different pallette, different hairstyles, but just wait. We'll be seeing hot pants and huge collars, elephant bells and extravagant cuffs again! So saith the seer!

    1. If history repeats itself, the last time the world emerged from a catastrophe on this scale - WWI followed by the deadly "Spanish" flu - we had an explosion of style in "The Roaring Twenties". We live in hope that something similar happens this time - the world could do with getting itself out of denim, leisure-wear, hoodies and trainers and into some fantabulosa fashions! Jx

  4. Are the eyes of the female model wearing Maria von Trapp's curtain-creations painted on to her closed lids?

Yesterday I could have done with that big fur-collared creation that dog's human was wearing at the end - it was so cold at Pensthorpe.

    1. Oh, yes - the "wet look mac" is well overdue a revival! I would suggest the pink-suit-and-trilby combo, but I think in reality, the memory of Mr Humphries on holiday in the Are You Being Served? movie is too raw... Jx

  5. Oh, I would adore a style update, and hope that there is a style explosion akin to The Roaring Twenties - though it'll probably sail straight over Devon.

    1. In my experience, Devon still hasn't got much further than the 1950s... Jx
