The sun is shining, the blossom is blossoming, the birds are twatting tweeting in the trees, Mother's in town tomorrow for Mothers' Day, and the clocks go forward on Sunday - a good weekend afoot, methinks!
Let's get in the mood for a proper party in the company of two very talented ladies, that bassline, and probably the classiest Disco song of them all...
Thank Disco It's Friday, indeed!
Have a great weekend, folks...
These women rock! Love hearing this again. Great boogie oogie oogie-ing to watch, too.
ReplyDeleteIt's an eternal mystery how or why they never got more success, with all that musical talent on show! They were a "one-hit-wonder" over here. Jx
DeleteHuzzah!! Great weather for y'all across the pond! Happy Mothers' Day to your Mama and good luck with the time change! It messed with me for a couple of days! I'll be singing Boogie Oogie Oogie until I just can't boogie no more all weekend! Cheers, sweetpea! xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt's a perfect choon to greet the arrival of British Summer Time! Jx
DeleteYay! Have a great, sunny weekend! I might do some gardening.

If I have any energy left after a visit from The Mother, that is my plan for Sunday. Jx
DeleteIt's so funny to see the timing of things. Our mother's day is not till may...yet our clocks changed three weeks ago. But it is glorious here today...Sunny, a nice breeze and the temps surpassed their expectations. It hit 84! Much done in the garden today, and a visit to the garden center for a few provisions.
ReplyDeleteYes, the way countries do things at different times is always a bit boggling! Our Mothering Sunday is a medieval church thing, celebrated on the fourth Sunday in Lent, and was revived in the early 20th century as the less religious event it is today. As for the clocks, I guess that would traditionally have been a lot to do with which time zone and latitude you were in. Ours is now set at the last Sunday in March (and the last Sunday in October to go back to GMT again). Jx
DeleteThis track is pure Sunshine to me. The sound of Summer.
ReplyDeleteBoogie !
It's certainly a sunshine song - shame the summer of '78 never lived up to it. Jx
