Thought for the Day

Meanwhile...

...you could lump together just about everyone in the current American government, in particular the thugs in that leaked online meeting, and still not get near even one of dear Oscar's brain cells.

    1. Agreed! They're a bunch of uneducated rednecks who have no idea what shared history the so-called "Allies" have, nor why Russia threatens not just Europe, but the world... Jx

  2. "They say that when good Americans die they go to Paris," chuckled Sir Thomas...
"Really! And where do bad Americans go to when they die?" inquired the Duchess.
"They go to America," murmured Lord Henry.

    1. "Perhaps, after all, America never has been discovered," said Mr. Erskine; "I myself would say that it had merely been detected."

  3. Oscar Wilde — 'America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between.'

I keep hearing the banjos from the movie "Deliverance" playing in the background. I truly believe t Rump could sacrifice a baby on live tv and his minions would still worship him.

    1. Terrifying, isn't it? And his acolytes are even more scary - I keep expecting them to turn up on TV in black uniforms designed by Hugo Boss. Jx

    1. It's remarkable that in the land where "meritocracy" was supposedly the ultimate ambition, your enlightened voters landed the nation with a "moronocracy" instead. Jx

  6. Go ahead and burn us down, make sure you start with the other Washington first, aka DC. The one time it's worth giving into President Bonespurs "Me First" attitude.

  7. In America the young are always ready to give to those who are older than themselves the full benefits of their inexperience. Oscar Wilde.
