The sunshine is utterly gorgeous today - better make the most of it, however. For today is the Autumnal Equinox, and from here on in, the nights start drawing in!
The "season of decay" begins...
...but Miss Summer is still here to brighten things up a little:
I'm going back outdoors as soon as the guy next door pulls the plug on his leaf blower. Stupid invention.
ReplyDeleteI've never understood them either - especially on a windy day.
DeleteGet your revenge with La Donna...

It's Autumn already? Man, I have truly lost track of seasons! To be honest, I've already lost track of days, weeks, AND months, sugar! *sigh* xoxo
ReplyDeleteI know! Back in mid-March, I remember moaning about being sent to work from home (something I swore I'd never do) and saying things like "When this has all blown over in a few weeks' time...". I never believed I'd still be here SEVEN MONTHS later, with no prospect of getting the old routine back for months yet to come! Jx
DeleteAck, not looking forward to the next 6 months, at all.

Nor me. This is going to be the true test of my patience. Bad enough getting up in the dark to go to the office, but having to get out of bed just to sit here all day every day in my house, burning all that extra gas for heating and electricity for lighting... Jx
DeleteNOTE - 24th Sept: If anyone suddenly finds this has appeared at the top of their Reading List, I have not done this myself.
ReplyDeleteOh, the joys of this wonderful "new, improved Blogger interface".
Sigh.

I see no beauty in dead leaves and seed heads and there is only worse to come !
ReplyDeleteI must have known this Donna Summer track but I don't remember it.
Dead plants are dead plants. Not beautiful.
DeleteThe song was from her album Four Seasons of Love and formed part of a "set" with Spring Affair, Summer Fever and Winter Melody - but only spring and winter were released as singles...
