Our lovely "Tete-a-Tete" daffs are a joy.
Whoosh! Another weekend gone in a flash, and here we are again. Back to the "World of Dreams".
It is, however, Saint David's Day - the Patron Saint of my homeland Wales, so on this Tacky Music Monday, who else would I choose to provide an OTT "wake-up call" but Llanelli's finest...
...Dotty!!
We adore her!
Have a good week, dear reader.
Eat some Welsh Cakes.
Oh, my gods! Did she just give Russ Conway a tongue sandwich at the end there?!?
ReplyDeleteA face-full of Marabou, methinks!
DeleteWhich should be the title of a chapter of my autobiography. Jx
Now that's a book title to catch the eye!
ReplyDeleteAh, but imagine the contents... :-)

Russ' piano playing was a bit OTT, it sounds as if he was trying to compete with her singing and Dot knew it, that's why she fussed around him before he had finished playing, covering him with her gown trying to make him disappear. She deserves all the applause.
ReplyDeleteThat old queen always tried to upstage everyone with his "florid" playing. It's no surprise he was called "Britain's answer to Liberace".
DeleteThe applause was definitely all for Dotty! Jx
Didn't Russ Conway try to sell organs? I have a dim memory. [Not kidneys]
ReplyDeleteSx
Not heard of that, but I'm sure his organ was well used. Jx
DeleteNobody Could or did upstage our Dotty
ReplyDeleteLoved her to bits and still do.
She was only tiny - 4' 10" I believe - but she could belt just about anyone off the stage! She and Dame Shirl never duetted, probably for safety reasons. Jx
