Another grey and miserable week drags slowly to its close (thank you, Storm Ciarán, for covering the garden from top to toe in a thick layer of slimy wet leaves - that's my weekend sorted...) - and it's time once again for a party!

DeletePS He would have been 76 this year, and that other "Great Gay Mother" Divine would have been 78, but there is some heartening news - at least Sir Monti Rock III of Disco Tex and the Sex-o-Lettes is still with us, aged 81!
Oh, I've been slimy leaf & sycamore key clearing today, too. I can't wait for all the rest of them to drop and be done with it. Still, Sylvester makes it better!
ReplyDeleteWe are surrounded by trees here that all appear to drop every single leaf in our garden and nowhere else! First thing tomorrow, I'm buying a roll of extra-strong bin bags - and I'm thinking of getting a snow-shovel, as that should do the job of getting slimy leaves off flat paved surfaces better than a brush by itself. Oh happy days.

My driveway is like an ice rink - it's a combination of stuff from the car and I don't know what, as the leaves have piled up against the house. It's horrible.
