She's up all night for good fun

Wheeee! Another weekend's on the way...

#adecadeago today, dear reader, it was sunny and warm - quite unlike this current bleak, cold, dank weather [We have had the heating on most evenings - in June!]. - and we were preparing to move house to Dolores Delargo Towers #3 a few weeks later.

On that occasion it was a Friday 13th - hence the reason for this choice for our traditional end-of-the-week slot to get the party started. I need no excuses to play it again, however - it cheers me up every time!

Thank Disco It's Friday!

As I said at the time, "I doubt Pharrell and Daft Punk were even born when that film was made"...

Have a great weekend, folks!

  1. The woman in the gif, far right, is not putting any effort into it. The lacklustre cow.
    Have a good weekend too.

    1. Or she might have one shoe heavier than the other

    2. I think she ate all the pies. It's not the shoe that's heavy... Jx

    3. Huh? All those girls are thin by most people's standards.

Mind you I work in a hospital and all the nurses are on diets all the time *except * the fat ones. It's heartbreaking you are always hearing little tiny nurses saying they need to lose weight.

  2. I lit the wood burner yesterday! Crazy talk in June. It was so cold that when I went out my hands went blue and I wish I'd worn gloves.
    Hope the weekend is better!

    1. Temperatures look to be rising, thankfully, but the weather here on the weekend still looks like shit - gales, thunderstorms and the rest... Jx

  3. I’m up all night to get lucky. I LOVE this song and never tire of it (although I would tire of the roller boogy version). I wish I could roller boogy, and be as cool as Pharrell Williams.

    1. I love this song, too, but never got the hang of roller-skates... Mr Williams is a snappy dresser, but I've always found him a bit creepy - I think it's mainly to do with that godawful Blurred LInes collaboration he did with the horrid Robin Thicke. That, and the fact he has very weird eyes. Jx

    2. That collaboration stunned me. I was relieved when they both finally acknowledged how wrong it was.

    3. Everything was wrong about it, from the misogynistic video and "rapey" lyrics to the fact the tune was stolen in its entirety from Marvin Gaye. Needless to say, the ensuing lawsuit meant neither man will make a penny from it... Jx

    4. I hope they would have regretted it even had there been no lawsuit. I tend to enjoy seeing them both, but partway through that video I felt ill... and so angry.

  4. Yay! The weekend! I hope we get a bit of sun - the forecast isn't looking too good over here in the east at the mo, though. Your song choice will brighten it up, though.

10 years ago today, I had just dodged being stabbed through the heart by Concorde and was about to flail around with a roll of tin foil!

  5. Oh my word !
We moved in to Dolores Delargo Towers #3 ten years ago ! I still miss that garden and the sunshine. Donny thinks I should do a monthly flash back of it on my Garden Blog.
Love the track but am so glad that Roller Disco died an early death; Pretentious, Smug, Self satisfied people with awful clothes and no rhythm.

PS Yes, the garden at the last place was faboo! Shame about the flat, the neighbours and the landlady...
