Ooo-er.
It might be the (very, very, very) welcome end of another stressful week, but it's also the day when everyone is supposed to beware ladders, opening umbrellas indoors and shoes upon the table, and look for that lucky black cat...
...Thank Disco (and Basement Jaxx) It's Friday (the Thirteenth)!
Have a good weekend, dear reader - don't smash any mirrors!
That is a great song, thank you for introducing it to me.
ReplyDeleteBasement Jaxx are/were brilliant! We have their singles compilation CD, and every track's a corker. Jx
DeleteGreat music, but heartbreaking story being told. However, I love the way she's smiling at the end. I can imagine feeling like that if the day ever arrived that some American politicians were locked up. As for Fumsup, there's something obscene about that thing.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine Miss Kekaula taking a break-up lying down - if I were the ex, I'd be in hiding. As for the Fumsup, it's a sinister thing indeed. Jx
DeleteJust in time too. The first full long week, in weeks from all the holidays.
ReplyDeleteLove the diddy!!!!
It's been another bastard week. I needed a good scream-along song to see it off! Jx
DeleteIt's been a bitch of a week. On the one dry walk I had I became the victim of a passing car that went through a large puddle at speed. Nice.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend - probably best to stay indoors though!
Sx
I'm venturing out to East London to our friend John-John's for another Marvel binge-watch today, so I hope no unfriendly lorry-driver decides to speed through any puddles en route! Jx
DeleteOne of my fave videos of all time. Sad but empowering at the same time.
ReplyDeleteIt's good, isn't it? That wry smile at the end... Jx
