Plumas de pavo real!

Back to the commute...

Despite the "old ennui" that always envelops Monday mornings, I rejoice in the thought that there are only five days of this shit left to deal with before we fly off to our very much-needed week in the sunshine of the Costa del Sol...

...so on this Tacky Music Monday let's flamenco-handclap our way into that very countdown, shall we?, in the company of an old favourite - now digitally restored*:

Have a good week, dear reader.

[* click on the label for Maria Jimenez at the foot of this post to see previous occasions where I featured this video; it was pixellated to say the least!]

  1. She is SO good. I want that entire peacock outfit. I've never done drag, but I'd do it if I had that dress.

    1. We love her - AND that frock! If someone would make two, what a sight for sore eyes the pair of us would make walking into La Nogilera!! Jx

    1. Fingers crossed - the forecast seems to indicate it's 18C/64F maximum at the moment. But it IS sunny - and still warmer than here! Jx

  3. I am spared having to take public transport, but I have a dear friend who is not so fortunate. He tells me tales of terror... weekly. As is? I just want to hide in my basement until this whole thing... life... working... is over. Kizzes.

    1. It's not so much terror as... the presence of other people, with their disgusting personal habits, and odour. I am only surprised we didn't have a pandemic sooner than 2020, to be honest.

Hey ho, I still love London, for all its faults. And "the commute" is actually my choice, as I prefer being in an office than working from home...

...however I love holidays in Spain more! Viva Maria Jimenez! Jx

    1. Wear that headdress around the house, and you'd be swiping the cobwebs off the ceiling, dear! Jx

  5. That clapping is fantastic. Our daughter-in-law (The Dancing Lady) is a Flamenco dancer and teacher. When we visited her in Spain, I got to watch the clapping class at work! Who knew there were so many different styles/sounds? You'll be in the sun soon, sweetpea! It's raining and cold here again! *sigh* xoxo

  7. I love everything about that video, her, the music, the costume, the setting and the attitude.
I have no idea what is going on or what she is going on about but I know she definitely means it !
