That's one way to wake oneself up on a Monday morning...
Bleurrrgh. Another busy yet rewarding weekend is over, and here we are again [even earlier than usual as I am interviewing this morning; gawd bless Inhuman Resources for arranging that on a Monday].
Let's jolt ourselves out of the slough of despond on this Tacky Music Monday, shall we - courtesy of our ever-reliable Patron Saint Cher (and her faboo friends)?!
Cher, Raquel Welch, Tatum O’Neil, Wayne Rogers - Top Hat, White Tie, And Tails (The Cher Show, 1975)
Have a good one, dear reader. I won't.
Dear god, that video is embarrassing. I wonder what Cher think when she looks at that now. Granted, she had fun with it. And the tall guy was Wayne Rogers from the MASH television series. I once heard him sing (he thought he was good) and can understand why he wasn’t given a solo.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was "Trapper John", but I didn't check. Added his name now. Jx
DeleteAlso featuring a pre-coked-up Tatum O'Neal.
ReplyDeletePre-coke and pre-lesbianism. Jx
DeleteGood grief! I'd rather be woken up by your new 'alarm clock' than subject myself to that Cher & Co. number again!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Were any of the interviewees worth getting out of bed for?
So, not so much "simply reeks of class" but rather "simply reeks"? Jx
DeletePS Only one candidate for interview, so it was a complete waste of time and I could have stayed in bed a little longer after all... Pah!
DeleteWell, Raquel kept her end up! How come there were 4 Jimmy Osmonds?
ReplyDeleteSx
One was awful enough! Jx
DeleteCher... she'd do anything with anyone. And Raquel, she got a raw deal, career-wise. Yes, difficult to work with. Yes, very little talent. But she looked marvelous. Could have been the next Rita Hayworth.
ReplyDeleteI don't really think Miss Welch did that badly out of her career. She may not have had many notable movie leading-lady roles, but her cosmetics and wig businesses have made her very wealthy indeed - she lives in Beverley Hills, and allegedly has a $40m fortune! Jx
DeleteThat is every kind of wrong that there is.
ReplyDeleteCamper than a row of tents. Cher flick flacked between impressions of Ethel Merman and Mae West with a smattering of Mary Poppins English just for good measure.
Loved It !
It may be "wrong", but it's our kind of "wrong"!!!!!!!! Jx
